Frame

C-13 Explosion Proof Type

Explosion-proof type is an electric device protection
type which is resistant to explosion caused by explosive
gas, sparks of electric devices, or temperature
rise of electric devices.

Explosion-proof structure meets
the following three conditions:

A container has enough mechanical strength to endure internal explosive pressure,
The flame or high-temperature gas caused by internal
explosion does not ignite external gas through the
joint part of a container.
The external surface temperature of a container
does not reach the ignition temperature of external gas.
